壁付けでの使用のみならず、アイランド形式で配置し、数人が囲んで使用する風景をイメージしながらデザインしました。
通常では重要視されない後面の素材やディテールにもこだわり、製品全体での意匠的・仕様的なプライオリティを排除しました。
食器や日常の道具を多く収納できるように、デスクの抽斗(ひきだし)をできるだけ大きく設定しています。
小さなスペースに設置する2人用ダイニングテーブルとしても活躍します。


Put it against the wall, or in the middle of a room. I designed this for it to be a gravitas for people getting together. I took care of the little touches, even of the materials and details used for the rear side of the item, to arrive at a wholesome appeal without getting bogged down by practical and tecinical babble normally so treasured by many Japanese designers of my training.
"Hikidashi" - the thing you pull out - were designed so that you can store plates and cutleries you use each day. You can place this even in a match box house without being obtrusive, as a nice comfy dining instrument.
