特に奇抜な意匠は施していませんが、なるべく機能性を表現せず、
伸縮時／伸張時各々で独立したデザインとして成立するように心がけました。
通常の伸張式テーブルは製作精度をあまり要求しなくても良いように収縮時の天板と脚部を面(ツラ)にすることはしませんが、
このテーブルではポイントをその一点のみに絞り、メーカーの協力を得て実現させました。

Seemingly totally inept at offering any sort of creativity whatsoever, with no particular functionality to boast, I thought of creating this piece of table as a "solution" to your practical requirements. Sometimes you need to leave the creative drawing board (bored) and look at what these instruments, in the first place, existed for. FGS, we need a table to dine! The table can be extended or compacted to fit the space in which it is placed. Because of its flexible nature, I designed this piece so as to provide more breathing room in terms of its accuracy, as if this was a living animal. In order for it to have its adaptability, I gave up all my other desires just to focus on this particular issue on expandability (if such word exist in your discourse!).
